Another season begins and the Wanderers have a really tough opener with a trip to Maesteg Quins. The sides last met in the Silver ball final 16 months ago and that encounter produced a classic game with the Wanderers winning with an Adams Jones try with the last play of the game.

“Its going to be a tough one” commented Martyn Fowler “We’ve prepared well and everyone is fit so as a coaching team we’re ready. This Championship will be one of the strongest ever and every game will be against great opposition”

The first selection sees several changes to the side that gained promotion last May. There are new half backs and a new combination in the front 5 “All the new faces have added something positive to the squad” added coach Lee Highgate “Its going to be an exciting campaign”
