Wanderers continue pre -season
“Plenty of cobwebs still remained after last week but we were able to spring clean a little more tonight with several 1st XV players making a return” Commented manager Mark Gould.
Forwards coach Huw Dowden added: “Good progress from last week. Set piece functioned well and our shape and open play led to some expansive rugby. We certainly will need to go up several levels next week with Newbridge visiting the Memorial Ground.
Against a very young and inexperienced, but still spirited Abercynon side the Wanderers continued their pre season warm up. With several 1st Xv players including captain AJ Walji (who picked up 2 tries) making their first start there was clearly more shape to the performance. In three extended 20 minute periods the visitors ran in 10 tries as 30 players had a run out. The Wanderers finish their warm up games next week as they entertain Newbridge at the Memorial Ground.
