New look Wanderers this weekend
GLAMORGAN WANDERERS RUGBY FOOTBALL CLUB
Vs
ABERFLYARFF RFC
The WRU have kindly given the Wanderers a week off from the Championship this week so as not to disrupt half term breaks for the teachers oops? coaches (who are all recuperating in Dubai!) Therefore AJ Walji takes an inexperienced side away to Aberflyarff for a friendly KO11-59pm. The side shows several changes with some players in slightly unaccustomed positions. Up front there are starts for father and son Lee and Finn Highgate and Taff Jones starts at hooker. Behind the scrum there will be a look at Phil John at 10 to see if his artistic skills can unlock the defence and the interesting use of Cox and O’Rourke in the centre may provide an insight into the way forward for the Wanderers as the season progresses. Some concern was raised with so many Welsh speakers in the backs how would the centres cope but Coxy assures everyone no matter what the language he wouldn’t understand.
Meet at club 7-30am (everyone on bus please)
