On a cold night with rain and sleet in the air the Athletics of Penarth and the Wanderers served up an enjoyable game for the shivering crowd. The somewhat makeshift home side were always up against it, as a more disciplined and organised Penarth side were deserved victors. For the Wanderers scrum half Joey Williams was a live-wire around the field scoring two of the home side tries. The other coming from his half back partner Tom Morrissey. At one point time was rewound as three ex first team Captains were on the field in the shape of Lee (that prop was really quick) Highgate, Joe Russell and Aaron Fowler but despite the experience the Wanderers could not overcome a determined Penarth side.
