“Squeeze the arms” laid to rest

In a lovely service yesterday we all said goodbye (but not forgotten) to Billy James. A massive turn out in St Mellons with many, whose lives had been enriched by Billy, attending the service. We then followed it up with stories and memories shared with the family over a pint or two.

Billy had been suffering from a rare condition MDS (Myelodysplastic Syndrome). Something that is a malfunctioning of the bone marrow resulting in the correct quantity and quality of blood cells.

Those suffering from MDS are supported by a support group and we would urge all of you that can, to make a donation to provide care and support for those suffering from the condition.

Details of where donations can be made : https://william-james-1947.muchloved.com/

More details of the condition can be found at:

For those of you couldn’t make the service and wake here is a link to some of our rugby memories of Billy
