Wanderers coaches satisfied with first outing

“We’ve lots to work on over the coming weeks but we gave plenty of debuts this afternoon and we are pleased with what we saw” commented coach Darren Gibbon

Both sets of coaches will have learnt a lot today” Added Martyn Fowler.

On a dry sunny afternoon three 20 minute sessions took place with both sides ringing the changes to give new combinations a chance to impress.

“Rhydyfelin certainly like to play at a good tempo and they caused us plenty of problems with ball in hand” Added forwards coach Lee Highgate.

In the 3 sessions the game ebbed and flowed with both teams taking opportunities to score and also showing some steely defence when it mattered.  The set pieces were understandably a little rusty but the hours rugby certainly provided the small crowd with plenty of entertainment.
