Wanderers 2018 presentation Evening
The 2017/18 season came to a close with the Annual Presentation Evening.
After the fun of the Jacob La Roche testimonial game the Foxhunter bar hosted the night which was compered by Chris Dowell Bennett and Alyn Humphreys. Before the formal part of the evening began there was some informal fund raising for Jacob with a game of pitch and toss and a round of heads and tails which was won by Colin Fulthorpe after a head to head against Jacob himself. Colin then entertained, those who could hear him, with some of his stand up routine.
We then turned our attention to the formal part of the evening which was introduced by President David Webber and started with the recognition for those who work behind the scenes of the rugby section.
Unsung Heroes: Linda Horsley, Carol Morgan, Maggie Charles, Kelly Cummings,Katy Gilvear, Jane Baker, John Baker, Eddie Horsley, Steve Charles, Courtney Jenkins, Peter Hurley , Andy Kelly , Mark Adams Jones, Gwyn Thomas.

This was followed by the awarding of 1st XV Honours ties to:
James Loxton, Cameron Gibbon, Dylan Lawley, Dan Apsee, Josh Male, Will Adams Jones, Andy Evans, Rob Evans, Rob Lewis, Morgan Louch, Phil Pariyo, Luke Fish.
2 special awards were then given out:
Breakthrough season: Dylan Lawley
Try scoring record; Phillip Pariyo who broke Kevin Ellis’s record that had stood since 1988/89. Phillip scored 30 tries in league and cup
The individual awards followed:
COACHES AWARD: TOM PENRY ELLIS
MOST IMPROVED: JOSH MALE
SUPPORTERS PLAYER OF THE YEAR: WILL ADAMS JONES
PLAYERS PLAYER OF THE YEAR: CAMERON GIBBON
Lastly the final award of the evening of the most prestigious player of the year which was awarded by Martyn Fowler
