Positive run out for Wanderers squad

With little club rugby at this time of year the Wanderers had a run out against Beddau and it proved very positive.

Martyn Fowler commented “A really positive training game. It was good to pitch our squad into a high tempo game. It helps us to see where our players are with a massive couple of months ahead. We were able to field a few new combinations  in a tough environment with the game throwing up possibilities going forward in our back 3, front row and back row.  Young Jake Thomas proved that he has a role to play going forward, Myles Churcher had a good 60 minutes after an injury lay off and several players had valuable game time and put their hands up for selection with a tough end of season run in around the corner.

Prolific wings Will Adams Jones and Phil Pariyo got on the scorecard with 2 excellent tries and the defence had a really good run out as Beddau played at a very high tempo.

All in all a very positive experience with league rugby back on the agenda next Saturday.
