Wanderers on brink of relegation

"The only good thing about today was the weather" commented manager Haval Ibrahim.

On a bright sunny afternoon where plenty of legs had their first outing of the season the Wanderers surrendered meekly to a spirited Newbridge side. From the off the home side played with more purpose and direction and their spirit simply overwhelmed the visitors as the Wanderers collapsed. After an early try an penalty for the home side the visitors did have a mini revival when Aaron Fowler crossed for a score but from 10-10 the traffic was all one way. Newbridge scored 2 more tries before half time to send the sides into the break at 24-10.

The second half provided little cheer for the travelling Massiv and a steady procession of scores left the Wanderers praying for a miracle in 2 weeks time when Newbridge travel to Narberth requiring just a point to survive.
