WANDERERS ANNOUNCE NEW COACHING TEAM

Glamorgan Wanderers have announced a new coaching team for the season 2013-14. After a major review of the season the Wanderers have revitalised their backroom setup with 3 new faces joining the coaching team.

Matthew Bolton continues as head coach and he is joined by Nick Wakley and Ieaun Davies as skills/ back coaches with Mike Sheehan continuing in his role as Development Squad forwards coach.

There is a change on the fitness side as well with Ex-Player Mike Catris coming on board as the new Fitness coach.

The Youth XV coaching team, who continue as one of the most successful teams in Wales, remain the same with Stuart Baird, Stuart Campbell, Ray Smith remaining and ex Wanderers captain Lee Highgate joining them.

All 3 team managers continue with Luke Burton (1sts) John Lyons (Dev) and Chris Dowell-Bennet (Youth) carrying on their good work making the ship run smoothly.

"After a difficult year the new coaches bring a wealth of experience and their presence will show that we mean business.” Said head coach Matthew Bolton "By the interest we have had from new players already, things are definitely on the up" he added.

Reflecting on the changes Chairman Alyn Humphreys commented “We asked Matthew to assess our failures from last season and come up with a new plan and from what I’ve seen so far I’m very excited about the new back room setup. Our club has a good recent history with providing coaches with the environment to develop and this new team looks full of ideas and ambition. I feel that we can make a real challenge in Division 1.
