Pre season friendlies under way

Glynneath 32 Wanderers 24

In a game of 4 20 minute sessions the Wanderers began their pre-season build up with a defeat at Glynneath.

"Disappointing result but plenty of positives" was how  head coach Matthew Bolton summed up the day.

With plenty of new faces on show there were a number of players new to the Wanderers system. Both sides showed ring rustiness but all concerned seemed to get something out of the exercise. The strong Glynneath pack generally had the upper hand but the young Wanderers backs showed glimpses of their potential and when the game became more fluid the Wanderers players looked more at home.

Scores:

Glynneath 5 tries, 2 conversions and 1 penalty

Wanderers 4 tries (Stephens, Marshall, Bourne & Grimstone), 2 conversions (Cochlin),
