Wanderers face the might of the Met

 GLAMORGAN WANDERERS RUGBY FOOTBALL CLUB

Vs

CARDIFF MET

“We go into this game with confidence after last week but Cardiff Met will be a tough challenge having only just lost to Ebbw Vale earlier this season” commented manager Luke Burton.

“We mustn’t treat Cardiff Met like they are a student side. We must respect them for the quality they possess and apply ourselves accordingly” added head coach and ex UWIC student Matthew Bolton.

For the visit of Cardiff Met this weekend the Wanderers welcome back the experience of Charlie Johnson in the midfield after 2 weeks out with a calf strain. He replaces Loren Quick, the only change to the backs following the away win at Bridgend Athletic. Up front last week’s hookers swap with Jack Dando getting his first start. There is a recall for Gruff Roberts at tighthead and Ross Gibbon steps of the bench to start in the second row alongside captain Alex Luff. Haval Ibrahim returns to the bench after recovering from his leg injury and he is joined by James Thomas who is back in the capital after a spell down west.
