Stars turn out at Dinas Powys

Wanderers old and newish turned out at Dinas Powys to take on a Dinas Powys team formed of some familiar faces to the Wanderers in aid of cancer and in Memory of a great friend Mark Henry.

In an entertaining game it was difficult to tell who the current players were and those that retired 20 years ago (especially when you looked at the Johnsons)

Vice chairman Gerry Blake commented “A great effort from all concerned and well supported by members of both clubs”

Congratulations and very well done to all the Wanderers for a great display on Saturday. Lovely to see Peter Hurley back on touchline duties. Also a fantastic tribute to an old friend at Dinas on Sunday. Thanks to everyone who contributed. Marks family & his friends at Dinas were overwhelmed by all the support. Some players turned out on Saturday & Sunday and were complimented by some former players a beefed up by the coaching and management team. Great effort from everyone. Thank you.

Got something to say?
